Albirex Niigata Football Club (Singapore) [“Albirex Singapore”] congratulate Nadeshiko Japan’s victory in the recently concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011.
The victory marks the first time an Asian Country wins the World Cup. It is also noteworthy that Singapore and its professional Football League, the S.League, plays a part in Nadeshiko’s winning run too.
Nadeshiko Japan’s Coach Futoshi Nonaka, and Goalkeeper Coach Nobuhiro Maeda received their coaching education when they were with Albirex Singapore in 2004 in the same capacity. The experience gained during their stint in S.League has certainly helped these 2 coaches fulfilling their duties with Nadeshiko Japan.
Thus, Albirex Singapore would like to thank the S.League and Singapore Football for providing the chance to these 2 coaches to accumulate their football knowledge and experience.
Albirex Singapore are proud of Singapore’s connection in Asia’s first victory in FIFA World Cup.
