Albirex Announces Collaboration with Belenenses
Albirex Niigata (S) Football Club (ALBS) is pleased to announce that a 3-year Partnership Agreement has been signed with CLUBE DE FUTEBOL OS BELENENSES (CFB), a professional football club taking part in the Portuguese Football League.
Under the terms of the Agreement, ALBS will send one or two players to CFB for a 2-week trial annually. CFB will in-turn have priority to sign ALBS players if any of these players meet CFB’s requirements. ALBS 2010 S.League player, Tatsuro Inui (Jersey No. 24), will attend a trial from 6 Dec 2010 for 2 weeks under the terms of this Agreement.
Besides exchange of players, there are also plans for exchange of coaches / staff and arrangement of friendly matches between the 2 teams in future.
CFB, founded in 1919, is based in the Belém quarter of Lisbon. CFB was Portuguese League Champions for seasons 1945–46; and 3 times Portuguese Cup Winners — 1941–42, 1959–60, 1988–89. CFB is the only team, together with Boavista, to win the Portugese League outside the Big Three: (Benfica, FC Porto, and Sporting Clube de Portugal).
