On Tuesday, 12th August, we hosted a Kick Off Party for our valued partner companies and community members who support the club, with over 80 guests attending.
At the start of the event, the players made their entrance into the venue, followed by a warm greeting from our Chairman, Daisuke Korenaga.
Last season marked an important year of significant transition as the club shifted to become a local club primarily composed of Singaporean players. Although the results did not always go as hoped and there were challenging times, the team never gave up and continued to strive forward.
This season, with the addition of many young players compared to last year, we have a fresh and energetic team. Chairman Korenaga expressed his determination to make the most of this new energy and fight with full commitment until the very end as one of the league’s hardest-working teams.
He also spoke passionately about using the frustrations of last season as motivation for further progress, and strongly expects greater growth and success this season.

He shared a vision of ongoing collaboration between the club and the community towards further growth and progress.

We were grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary beer generously provided by KIRIN during the event. We extend our deepest gratitude for your kind support. Thank you very much!
Starting this season, the club’s apparel partner has changed to KELME, while Skechers continues as the footwear partner from last season.
We heard honest impressions about this season’s kits from players Kim Taeuk, Nicky Melvin Singh, Takahiro Koga, and Dylan Pereira, each wearing the home and away kits for field players and goalkeepers respectively.

During the following talk session, players took the stage divided into three groups — offense, midfield, and defense — and answered questions from the MC.
Offensive player Amy Recha commented, “I was sidelined for a long period last season due to injury, but now I’m in good condition and ready to give my all for the team.”
Midfielder Naoki Yoshioka expressed enthusiasm, saying, “I’m working hard to deepen coordination with my teammates and contribute on both offense and defense. I look forward to growing this season.”
Defender Cho Eunsu shared a reassuring comment: “The climate in Okinawa, my former club FC Ryukyu’s hometown, is similar to Singapore’s, so I was able to adapt quickly. I am well prepared for the league opener.”
Veteran goalkeeper Hassan Sunny, now in his third season, pledged to build on last season’s struggles, saying, “My goal this season is to keep 10 clean sheets and fully support the defense.”
After the talk session, team top scorer from last season, Shingo Nakano, stood on stage on behalf of the players and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors. He emphasized that the team’s continuous growth and challenge is made possible by their warm support.
Nakano also made a powerful commitment: “We will deliver even better results than last season and fight with full effort as one united team to meet the expectations of our fans and sponsors.”
Following this, all players returned to the stage where Head Coach Keiji Shigetomi delivered a speech. He spoke with determination: “We will work hard as a team to be able to report good news at the end of the season.”
